Mayor’s son suing Davison
Mayor Mike Wiggins’ son Charles, a local attorney, is representing two companies suing Community Maritime Park developer Scott Davison for foreclosure.
Mr. Davison is vice president of Maritime Park Development Partners and president of its forerunner, Land Capital.
The two foreclosure proceedings, filed late last month, name both Land Capital and Mr. Davison personally as defendants. The companies suing Mr. Davison, Agoura Finance and Adler Realty Investments, are both represented by Charles T. Wiggins, an attorney at Beggs & Lane and the son of Pensacola mayor Mike Wiggins.
We’ll have more on this after we pull the court documents.

And the plot thickens ….
What next ??????
It was obvious from the get-go that this “developer” was not going to develop anything. They are going to put a billboard on Main Street that says “FOR RENT – Call Scott for details.” They have no cash, no assets, and dubious experience as developers.
This project was sold to the voters as a public / private venture. Quint Studer told us that if the public would put up $40 million, then private developers would invest $30 million. Why don’t we wait until that cool hard cash in the amount of $30 million is put down on the table before we throw one more cent into this scheme?
Didn’t they just award this guy the general contractor authority, in addition to developer?
CMPA MTG Minutes: “Will the CMPA please come to order. OK, our first order of business has to do with the developer, Mr. Scott Davison. Um, it appears that the developer we hired is broke. This is particularly problematical in that he is more likely to cut corners in order to maximize profits so as to pay off his debts more expeditiously. Does anyone have any recommendations?”
“UM, yea, I would like to make a motion that we award him general contractor authority as well. Do I have a second?” “Yea, OK, whatever, I really just wanna go home and watch Wheel of Fortune.”
