The five-member Board of County Commissioners exercises legislative and executive functions of the County government. Commissioners are elected to four-year terms and earn an annual salary of $73,819, plus an annual travel allowance of $2,400.

District 4 includes much of southeastern Escambia County (see map), including much of the City of Pensacola, as well as Pensacola Beach. The District 4 seat is currently held by Grover Robinson IV.
