Happy birthday, John Jerralds!

Progressive Pensacola wishes Pensacola City Councilman John Jerralds a happy belated birthday! The District 5 councilman celebrated his 63rd birthday yesterday.

Councilman Jerralds has during his tenure on Council gained a reputation as an outspoken advocate for a variety of issues, and is fond of giving history lessons to those who may not share his unique perspective. Accordingly, he’s gained the nickname “Jawbone Jerralds,” and racked up more talk time that any other Council member in one informal survey earlier this year.

As of late, though, Councilman Jerralds has taken more of a “sit back and listen” attitude, preferring to let others on Council banter back and forth while he takes in all the information.
