On last night’s charter debate

Last night, Bob Kerrigan’s “Within Reason” program on WUWF-TV hosted a special two-hour debate between representatives of pro-charter and anti-charter groups. We apologise for not putting a notice up here at Progressive Pensacola, but we didn’t find out about it until a few hours ahead of time.

The debate is not available online at the moment, but hopefully it will be posted soon on the Within Reason website.

Representing the anti-charter side were Mayor Mike Wiggins and former City Attorney John Fleming; representing the pro-charter side were Charter Review Commission chairwoman Crystal Spencer and Independent News publisher Rick Outzen. With a few exceptions, both sides were very civil and well-spoken.
