Are you kidding me, Jack?

The PNJ has an article up covering the hotly-contested race for Pensacola City Council, District 8 (At-Large), where Diane Mack and Joe Buehler are seeking to unseat 14-year incumbent Jack Nobles.

Nobles is perhaps the single most out-of-touch, unprofessional member of Council; and sometimes, when he opens his mouth around a reporter, I think he might be the most full-of-it:

[Nobles] cites some reasons why population dropped: The city replaced the crowded, outdated low-income Aragon Court housing project with an upscale development of single-family homes called Aragon. Hurricanes prompted people to move inland or move away.

Maybe Joe’s right. Maybe our population decline has absolutely nothing to do with the City’s lack of economic growth, or high taxes, with the City’s inability to expand alongside with natural migration. All those people that left the City did so because of hurricanes or a single housing project that closed.

Are you kidding me?
