Political goings-on, 10 October 2008

I’ve been so busy with stuff for this cycle that I missed some early filers for races in 2010:

  • Scott Gauvin has filed to run with no party affiliation (NPA) for the District 2 seat on the Escambia County Commission. The seat is currently held by Gene Valentino, a Republican. Valentino has neither filed nor announced, but is expected to seek reelection.
  • John Krause has filed to run as a Republican for the District 4 seat on the Escambia County Commission. The seat is currently held by Grover Robinson, a Republican. Robinson has neither filed nor announced, but is expected to seek reelection.
  • LuTimothy May has filed to run again for the District 3 seat on the Escambia County School Board. May ran for the seat in a special election this past August 26 but lost a close race to Linda Moultrie. School Board races are nonpartisan.
